Ultrasound Course

This course will provide the theoretical background for emergency medicine trainees to become competent at Level 1 ultrasound scanning techniques as set out by the College of Emergency Medicine curriculum.

This course is approved for 11 College of Emergency Medicine CPD points.
 

Target audience

Recommended for trainees in emergency medicine.

This is a refresher course for candidates who have completed the full course previously.  Please enquire when booking.

Places are limited to 16 applicants so early applications are advised.

Assessment

Candidates will rotate through a series of lectures and practical sessions across the two days.  On completion of the course candidates will be expected to keep a log of their supervised practice according to College of Emergency Medicine Ultrasound training guidelines.

The personal information you submit via the registration form is used to keep an accurate record of who is attending one of the advertised training courses. None of your personal information is sold on or shared with any third party organisation. 


Who can access your information 

Course administrators and facilitators. This access is required to confirm your registration and to keep an accurate record of who is attending each course. 

Senior website administrators access your submitted personal information via a password protected secure access point within our website system. This access is required for technical support purposes.


How we store your information

When a form has been submitted we will keep a hard copy as required by the governing body of the course. Forms are kept for a maximum of 5 years in a secure environment.


How long we store your information for 

We store personal information for as short a time as possible. 

Unless you have otherwise stipulated within your submitted registration, your details will be removed from our protected hospital computer network shortly after you have attended your training course. 


Removal of your information from our records
