Hello, my name is Dr Magnus Harrison,
Since the new Trust was created on 1 July 2018 we have been building a strong team across the Trust. The clinical case for the merger included bringing together larger teams of clinicians that can improve outcomes and experience for patients. More than one year on, we now have more than 700 consultants working across our five hospitals.
Our growing reputation nationally and internationally is attracting growing numbers of clinicians who want to work at our Trust. You can find out more about UHDB and the services we offer, and information about the counties of Derbyshire and Staffordshire, which are amongst the most beautiful in the country.
In addition, we are fortunate to have some nationally renowned consultants, including Andrew (Bod) Goddard, a consultant in gastroenterology and the current president of the Royal College of Physicians, and Miss Susie Hewitt, who was awarded an MBE for services to Emergency Medicine.
You can read more about our consultants through the consultant directory here.
