Clinical measurement

The Clinical Measurement Department (CMD) provides a wide variety of clinical investigations and services utilising modern technology and equipment.

CMD delivers services for patients of all ages, supporting many medical teams across the Trust. We aim to provide a clinical measurement service that is efficient and effective which acknowledges individuality in an atmosphere of empathy, respect and support.

The CMD team consists of specialised clinical physiologists and assistant clinical physiologists, alongside dedicated administrative staff. Our department is also fully supported by consultants and their teams, in their respective fields of specialty. They all play an essential role in delivering a high quality specialised and confidential service.

We are also involved in education and training of medical and nursing staff and actively support research and development across the Trust.

CMD provide services at the Royal Derby Hospital and limited satellite clinics for certain tests are also run at neighbouring health centres in Ilkeston, Ripley and Long Eaton.

Outpatients Clinic A
Clinic A is a multi-speciality Outpatient department supporting the clinical measurement service.

For access to the clinical measurement department use the main entrance on Level 1. 

The clinical measurement department is on the first floor of the Royal Derby Hospital and therefore no use of stairs/lifts required.
