Candidates should be doctors, nurses, RTOs and all professions allied to medicine (PAMs). Currently this course is only offered to CP2 (4th year) medical students during their paediatric attachment. A small number of places may be available to suitable candidates, please contact clinical skills directly.
The PLS course is run over one day.
Candidates will rotate through a series of lectures, skills stations and workshops throughout the course of the day, culminating in a short test scenario. Successful completion of all elements of the course results in the candidate being issued with a certificate from the Advanced Life Support Group (ALSG).
The certificate issued is valid for 4 years

Senior website administrators access your submitted personal information via a password protected secure access point within our website system. This access is required for technical support purposes.
When a form has been submitted we will keep a hard copy as required by the governing body of the course. Forms are kept for a maximum of 5 years in a secure environment.
We store personal information for as short a time as possible.
Unless you have otherwise stipulated within your submitted registration, your details will be removed from our protected hospital computer network shortly after you have attended your training course.
