Every child should start well and continue well. All healthcare professionals should work alongside parents, carers and other agencies to ensure this.
The 2019 Derbyshire Children’s Hospital Academic day will provide the opportunity to discuss some of the challenges to starting and continuing well. Expert speakers will share practical solutions. We will also discuss some of the common paediatric presentations including practical tips on recognition and management.
This academic day will offer opportunities to network with health professionals both in and around the region. The key note speaker will be Professor Russell Viner (President of the RCPCH) who will focus on the vision of the RCPCH for a brighter future for children and healthcare professionals alike.
Eminent experts will deliver talks and workshops relevant to all healthcare professionals working with children (GPs, nurses, allied professionals, trainees, consultants and medical students). CPD credits will be sought from Royal College of Paediatrics and Child Health.
RCPCH has approved this activity for CPD in accordance with the current RCPCH CPD guidelines.
