The role of the practice placement facilitator (PPF) is to:

  • Work alongside mentors educators across all divisions to provide a high level of support and strengthen the practice learning experience in relation to high quality learning, assessment strategies, governing body requirements and completion of documentation through strong clinical leadership.
  • Enhance the learning experience and promote patient safety through strong clinical leadership.

In line with strategic objectives:

  • Putting patients first

  • Investing our resources wisely
  • Developing and supporting each other
  • Ensuring value from partnerships

The ways in which we can achieve this are:

  • Working directly alongside and support the student workforce in practice areas
  • Supporting mentors/clinical educators with student documentation, and understanding adn working with competency frameworks
  • Providing guidance and signposting
  • Promoting interprofessional learning opportunities
