Dr Samantha Mills is a staff governor working in RDH Emergency Department. Originally an expert witness and manager of violent crime teams for the Home Office, Sam moved to PepsiCo International working both in their Walkers crisp and R&D sectors before retraining as a doctor.
Sam is an advocate for equity, with a desire to ensure all staff are represented and appreciated in our diverse workforce, personally identifying as a pansexual dyslexic, she sits on our inclusion group for the Trust. Sam has taught leadership and management for a number of years as a Faculty member of Leadership and Management for Health Education East Midlands and also runs her own company delivering practical leadership training. Sam is passionate about cultural change and the positive changes we can undertake to excel for all staff in the NHS.
