Medicine for the Elderly

We provide inpatient and outpatient services to older people, particularly the frail elderly and those with multiple medical problems.

This includes:

• Inpatient services - medical assessement including those presenting with acute confusional state or falls, multiple medical problems and impaired self-caring ability.
   
• Outpatient clinics - including specialist clinics for falls, syncope (blackouts) and Parkinson's disease (Royal Derby Hospital is a National Parkinson's Foundation Centre of Excellence).
