Players and staff from Derby County Football Club met patients, their families, and staff at Royal Derby Hospital as part of their annual Christmas visit this week (8 December). Club captain, Conor Hourihane and Head Coach, Paul Warne, were joined by member of the men's and women's teams as they spent time speaking with patients and their loved ones in Neonatal Intensive Care, Sunflower, Dolphin, and Puffin Wards, and the Paediatric Critical Care Unit.

Patients at Queen’s Hospital Burton were given an early Christmas gift yesterday (15 December 2022) as members of the team from Burton Albion Football Club paid a visit to deliver presents and spread festive cheer.

A paediatric nurse at Royal Derby Hospital has been recognised for going above and beyond to care for a sick 11 month old and has received the Excellent Employee award for her efforts.

Charge Nurse, Rob Bradley, has won our March 2021 Patient Hero Award for providing exceptional care to a patient with Autism & Sensory Processing Disorder. 

The dedicated nurse who works at Royal Derby Hospital was presented with the UHDB Patient Hero Award earlier last week after being nominated by Derbyshire Mum, Chloe.
