Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit was established in 2008 and is hosted by the University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.

The integration within a research active Trust provides a unique insight into delivering clinical trials within the NHS by utilising our close collaboration with clinical colleagues.  

The Derby Clinical Trials Support Unit has been awarded full clinical trials unit registration by the UK Clinical Research Collaboration (UKCRC).

Our expertise

The CTU has expertise in the design, conduct and analysis of clinical trials made possible through an experienced team of methodologists, trialists, data managers, trial managers, statisticians, research pharmacists and research nurses.

We are a growing team, able to provide a personalised, bespoke service to suit individual trial needs. We are happy to provide support with a variety of trial size and designs, from single-centre feasibilities through to multi-centre, interventional, randomised controlled trials.
