How to request a British Sign Language (BSL) interpreter

Our departments aim to book interpreters themselves. However, if you would like to make sure one is booked, please contact:


For Royal Derby Hospital and London Road Community Hospitals, please email dhft.InterpreterServices@nhs.net with your name, appointment date and time, the clinic name and location and your hospital number (if known).


The interpreters will come from Communication Unlimited and will be paid for by the hospital. You can contact Communication Unlimited directly at bookings@cu-bsl.co.uk or via mobile text number 07812 300280 (Text Only).
 

For Queen’s Hospital Burton, Samuel Johnson Community Hospital and Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital, please contact Staffordshire ASSIST at assist@staffordshire.gov.uk
 

The interpreters will come from ASSIST and will be paid for by the hospital.
