New staff uniforms
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) is the first Trust nationally to introduce a new standardised uniform being made available to the NHS.
So far more than 9,000 uniforms have been delivered to colleagues across Royal Derby Hospital, Queen's Hospital Burton, Florence Nightingale Community Hospital, Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital and Samuel Johnson Community Hospital.
Different professions have a specific colour of new uniform, making it easier for patients and visitors to identify the roles of those caring for them regardless of which of our hospitals they visit. As well as uniting all professions in the same uniform across our hospital sites, the uniforms are more environmentally sustainable, will save the Trust money, and are cooler and more comfortable to wear.
