How to take part in research
If you are interested in taking part in a trial, please discuss it with the doctor, nurse or health care professional currently in charge of your care.
Please visit our patient research frequently asked questions page >, which has useful information and questions you may wish to ask the research team.
All trials have specific guidelines called ‘eligibility criteria’ about who should take part. These determine who can take part in each trial. Even though you may have a relevant medical condition, you may not be suitable for a particular trial. This will be discussed in your initial conversation with your doctor, nurse or health care professional, where you will also be given a patient information sheet.
If you wish to find out more about clinical trials that are taking place in our Trust, please visit our recruiting studies page >.
Alternatively, please visit the National Institute for Health Research (NIHR) website (opens in new window) > where you can find trials that are not just specific to UHDB.
