Derby is a beautiful, compact and accessible city with the breath-taking countryside of the Peak District a stone’s throw away.

Derby is home to many leading fashion brands and independent stores which can be found in and around our city centre. Our Intu Centre is in the city centre, spanning over two levels with an array of popular shops and restaurants for everyone’s needs. The centre has a 12 screen cinema on the third floor and a theatre. If you want a unique shopping experience you can visit Derby’s Cathedral Quarter, which houses a mix of designer and vintage clothes, shoes, gifts and crafts.

Entertainment and activities are planned all year round, so you can enjoy great city experiences with exciting days out. Derby is full of culture and arts, you can visit The Quad, which brings Derby the very best quality international art and film, whilst the Joseph Wright Gallery at Derby Museum houses the world’s largest collection of Derby’s world famous artist. Déda is a centre of excellence in the world of dance performances, classes and visual art.

Darley Park, one of Derby’s many open spaces, host 14 of the UK’s largest free outdoor classical concerts and internationally acclaimed FORMAT photography festival attracts visitors from around the world.

Derby has multi-purpose areas, including a velodrome, many gyms as well as swimming and leisure pools. There are various gyms, joining fees may vary as well as monthly fees, dependent on the gym. If you enjoy watching football, Derby has an incredible football fanbase, you can visit Derby County or Burton Albion Football Club and experience an exhilarating atmosphere.
