Adult patients with sickle cell are invited to attend our upcoming patient group meeting to help us improve standards of care

Do you or your loved one receive sickle cell care at Royal Derby Hospital or Queen’s Hospital Burton?

We are inviting patients, carers and families to attend our upcoming sickle cell patient group, where we will share feedback from previous discussions, talk through the improvements made so far, and look at what should happen next.

Date and location
Thursday 21 May 2026, 5.30pm to 7pm
Virtual meeting - invite to be shared by email to those who sign up

What to expect

This patient group gives you the opportunity to:

  • Get to know the team and what each role does to support your care
  • Hear how patient and carer feedback is helping shape improvements to sickle cell care
  • Share your own experiences of care at RDH and QHB
  • Have your say on new or improved services for patients with sickle cell
  • Review patient information and resources before they are shared more widely

We know that care for people with sickle cell disorder needs to improve, both locally and nationally. Listening to patients, carers and families is essential to making meaningful changes that reflect what really matters to our communities.
