Children's blood tests now available at Sir Robert Peel Hospital's CDC

Sir Robert Peel Community Diagnostic Centre in Tamworth now offers children's blood tests in a dedicated weekly clinic.
The blood clinic, which was set up in response to feedback from GPs, offers a calm and quiet environment, for children between the ages of 6 and 12, who require blood tests.
Claire King, Phlebotomy Service Manager and Clinical Support at UHDB, said: "This new clinic was introduced to help reduce waiting times and ensure greater access to a blood testing service for children in the community. We know that if your child is unwell and needs a test, the last thing you want to do is wait - and it is comforting for those young patients to be able to have a parent at their side.
"So far, the feedback from both parents and children has been really positive and they have been pleased with the prompt care we have provided."
The clinic takes place every Wednesday afternoon between 3pm and 7pm and appointments are available to book via Swiftqueue.
