Compassionate colleagues on cohort wards presented with Team UHDB Awards

Three wards at Royal Derby Hospital that were converted into COVID-19 wards during the peak of the pandemic have this week been recognised with a Team UHDB Award for their dedication and compassion.
Ward 311, Ward 306 and Ward 302 were all presented with their awards by CEO Gavin Boyle, who paid his personal thanks to colleagues on the wards for everything that they did and continue to do for our patients.
Ward 311 specialises in medicine for the elderly, Ward 306 is a short stay unit and Ward 302 in oncology - but all three converted into specialist cohort wards during the peak of the pandemic to care for COVID patients.
Over the course of the past few weeks, a number of awards have been presented to teams who played a key role in our response to COVID -19, so thank you to you all for your incredible hard work during this time.
