A number of UHDB specialties are set to be relocated from Royal Derby Hospital to London Road Community Hospital from Monday 19 October.

Parts of our Derby-based Diabetes and Endocrinology services will make the move from next week, in order to provide extra capacity for the Royal Derby Hospital’s Emergency Department.

Changes will see all Diabetes and Endocrine specialty face-to-face clinics held at London Road Community Hospital, with the clinic booking teams also being relocated.

All Rheumatology outpatient clinics will be transferred to Ward 4 at London Road Community Hospital from 19 October, with Osteoporosis face-to-face clinics also being moved to the community hospital.

Patients attending appointments will receive new appointment letters informing them of any change to where they’ll need to be.

The majority of our Osteoporosis service will remain at Royal Derby Hospital as normal, so as to continue delivering the Fracture Liaison Service for patients on site.

The Diabetes and Endocrine booking team can be contacted on 01332 258259, should patients or staff wish to discuss appointment changes.

Likewise, the combined Rheumatology and Osteoporosis booking team will be available via 01332 254848.

The Rheumatology advice lines and prescription lines will remain the same and can be contactable via 01332 787710 and 01332 787832 respectively.
