Tribute to Mhairi Cooper

Our thoughts are with the friends and family of Mhairi Cooper who sadly passed away this month.

Mhairi was well known to lots of colleagues across the Trust having worked as a nurse in the day case units at both Derbyshire Royal Infirmary and Queen’s Hospital Burton. She then worked in several roles at Royal Derby Hospital, including a sister on Ward 207 and most recently on Ward 206.

Dr Magnus Harrison, Interim Chief Executive said: “Her colleagues tell me she was bubbly and chatty and seemed to know everyone. She was an exceptional friend and colleague and was the ‘go to’ person as she was extremely knowledgeable about everything. She was also a genuinely lovely person and will be greatly missed.”

Today colleagues have gathered to observe a minute’s silence to remember Mhairi, during a service led by Marise, a Chaplain at the Trust.
