October 10 - October 13: car parking closures at Royal Derby Hospital while essential maintenance takes place

There will be changes to the car parks available at Royal Derby Hospital during the weekend of October 10 to October 13, while a large crane is on site to help provide essential maintenance to the hospital.
During this time, there will be closures of some car parks and drop-off areas, with car park 7 closing for patients and visitors, and Entrance 24 will also be closed, except for emergencies.
The car park 7 entrance barriers will close at 3pm on Friday 10 October and traffic management in the area will begin at 6pm. Cars parked in car park 7 will still be able to exit. The crane will be on site until 3am on Monday 13 October.
Car parks 2 and 3 will remain open for Blue Badge holders and car park 8 will also be open.
There will temporarily be a contraflow system in place so vehicles will be permitted to travel in the opposite direction to the normal flow of traffic. A member of traffic management staff will be on site for the duration of the work and the diversions in place will be clearly signposted.
To support with parking during this time, please use the park and ride service where possible.
This is located on Kingsway Boulevard, just off the Kingsway roundabout (near the retail park). This will operate from 8am until 6pm daily and will drop people off at the main entrance of the hospital. A full timetable for the park and ride service, and a map of the bus route, are available on our website >.
