The month of June marks the celebration of Pride Month - the international celebration of the LGBTQIA+ community.

University Hospitals of Derby & Burton is showing its support for Pride month by flying the Pride flag from outside our hospitals throughout June and sharing staff stories from our colleagues in our UHDB LGBTQIA+ network.

Amanda Rawlings, Director of People and Organisational Development, said: “I am the executive sponsor of our LGBTQIA+ group, a staff network which is going from strength to strength and I am really proud to be associated with all of my colleagues to make UHDB an inclusive place for all of our colleagues that work here, and also our patients and our wider service users.

“Pride is a really important month to stop and reflect about how far we have come on this journey of creating an inclusive world that we all want to live in and love.”
