Access to Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital is set to be restricted for up to two weeks.

Plantation Lane, Mile Oak, which leads to Sir Robert Peel Hospital, is subject to flooding when we experience heavy rain.

As a result, on the morning of Monday 11 November, Plantation Lane will be closed and Staffordshire Highways Department will commence work which could last for up to two weeks to resolve this flooding issue.

This work will start at 9am on Monday 11 November, but will require the road to be closed from 8am that day.

SCC Highways will commence placing road closure and diversion signs on Plantation Lane from 7am on the day.

The diversion will be via Park Lane and The Green. This is a short detour in both time and distance.

The work should be completed within one week, but Highways are allowing two weeks, should they encounter any problems.

Highways have also said that, should any Emergency Vehicle arrive with blue lights, workers will let them through.
