A message from Sharon Martin, Chief Operating Officer
Today is Administrative Professionals Day and I am delighted to say a few words to celebrate the herculean efforts of our admin and clerical colleagues across UHDB.
We all know how critical our A&C staff, administrators and managers alike, are to the successful delivery of our day-to-day operations providing exceptional care together, but the pressure they have particularly sustained over the covid pandemic has been huge. This is fully acknowledged, and their response has been truly outstanding, having to react to the changing demands of our services and patients whilst at the same time managing the challenges the pandemic placed upon themselves and their families and loved ones.
As a recent Kings Fund report states, “High quality admin has the potential to improve patient experience, reduce inequalities, promote better care – and contribute to a better working environment for staff.” It’s a privilege to see that high quality admin in action everyday here at #TeamUHDB, thank you!
