Shining a light on Baby Loss Awareness Week

This week (9-15 October) is Baby Loss Awareness Week, an opportunity for parents and families to come together as a community to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss.
This year's theme is 'Together, we care' and across UHDB we will be showing our support by lighting up parts of the hospital during this time. UHDB teams will be also joining in the global Wave of Light > at 7pm on 15 October as we pause to unite in memory of our loved ones.
Families are also being invited to tie blue or pink ribbons at community spaces to raise awareness of pregnancy and baby loss. At Derby, this will be at the Orangery on Markeaton Park, and at QHB a memory tree is in place in the small Faith Room.
If you or someone you love has suffered baby loss and you feel you could benefit from some support, please reach out. There are a wealth of charities who can help, and our own programmes offer a variety of support, including counselling, should you wish to access it.
