Some services at SRP's Community Diagnostic Centre to temporarily close while essential construction takes place
More diagnostic services are coming to Sir Robert Peel as the Community Diagnostic Centre enters its final construction phase to bring additional services, such as Respiratory care, into Tamworth.
While the final construction happens, some services will be temporarily closed from Monday 16 February including point of care testing, echocardiography and cardiology.

The CDC already provides around 1,000 diagnostic tests every week but once complete, the CDC will provide a full diagnostic facility for local people.
The state-of-the-art centre will re-open on Monday 2 March, offering Respiratory Services at the site. In addition, a CT mobile unit, will also be located at the site later on this year, to allow closer testing for residents.
Did you know the Tamworth hospital is one of five community diagnostic centres in the region, with new centres at Ilkeston Community Hospital and Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and CDCs at Whitworth Community Hospital and Walton Community Hospital.
These CDCs act as ‘one-stop shops’ to improve health outcomes by bringing essential diagnostic testing closer to local residents, so they can get tests quicker and closer to home. You can find out more about the Community Diagnostic Centres here >
