Update: Roadworks affecting Royal Derby Hospital: June 2023
UPDATE - 30 June 2023
We have been informed by Derby City Council that the roadworks taking place on Uttoxeter Road outside Royal Derby Hospital have been completed ahead of schedule, with the road now open as usual.
These works were originally scheduled to take place unitl Friday 7 July, but the roadwork teams are currently removing all traffic management systems and equipment.
We hope this helps with your journeys to and from Royal Derby Hospital in the coming days.

There are resurfacing road works taking place from Monday 19 June to Friday 7 July on Derby's Uttoxeter New Road, from the Royal Derby Hospital roundabout to the Kingsway junction - affecting those visiting our Royal Derby Hospital site.
This will be taking place from Monday to Friday - with no weekend working - between 9.30am and 3.30pm.
If you are travelling to Royal Derby Hospital, please ensure you plan your journey to allow for possible delays. If you have an appointment at the site, please give yourself extra time to get there.
The affected areas are shown in the diagram below. The single red line shows where the resurfacing works will be taking place, and therefore will be closed at the above time/dates. The dotted lines show the diversion - with the red dotted line showing the southbound diversion, and the blue dotted line showing the northbound diversion.
There will be signage in place that will direct traffic onto this official diversion route.
