We want to hear your views on virtual wards

Colleagues at Royal Derby Hospital

Virtual wards allow patients to get the care they need at home safely and conveniently, rather than being in hospital. Using technology, virtual wards support patients, who would otherwise be in hospital, to get the care they need in the place they call home.

NHS Derby and Derbyshire Integrated Care Board (ICB) are currently involved in some work to look at improving the experiences of people who are being supported to use a virtual ward, as opposed to admittance to hospital.

In completing the survey, we can better gauge the understanding of virtual wards that the wider public may have and further understand the expectations of these wards and what can be done to support you, prior to using this service. This will help us advise the people who commission and provide services on what can be done to make this more accessible.

We would very much appreciate hearing your views.
