UHDB colleagues are inviting young people from our communities to join us for the relaunch of the UHDB Youth Forum - a space for those in school years 8 to 13 to share their views, learn more about the NHS and help shape the services we provide.
The relaunch event will take place on Tuesday 25 November, from 6pm to 8pm, in Children’s Outpatients at Derbyshire Children’s Hospital, Royal Derby Hospital.
The Nightingale Macmillan Unit (NMU) at Royal Derby Hospital is seeking dedicated volunteers to support their impactful, compassionate care of patients.
The NMU provides specialist, compassionate care for people approaching the end of their lives, most often as a result of cancer. The team’s focus is on dignity, comfort and quality of life — supporting patients and their loved ones through one of the most important times in their lives.

Held from 10am to 3pm in the Education Centre Lecture Theatre, Level 2, the event is open to everyone – including patients, carers, family members, staff and members of the public – who want to learn more about dementia and the wide range of support available. Radiotherapy colleagues at UHDB will be hosting a special Radiotherapy careers open day on Saturday 6 September 2025 at Royal Derby Hospital (RDH) — open to members of the public and fellow NHS colleagues alike.
This will be help in our RDH site's Radiotherapy department, located on Level 0, across two sessions — 9.30am to 11am, and 11.30am to 1pm.
