Children’s Community Nursing KITE Training Team
The Kids In Their Environment (KITE) Training team is well-established and provides specialist training sessions across Derby to enable children with additional or complex health needs to access education, care, and social settings.
What subjects do we offer?
- Epilepsy and Emergency Medication
- Enteral Feeding (Gastrostomy, Nasogastric and Jejunostomy Tubes)
- Respiratory Care including Oral Suction, Oxygen and Nebulisers
- Tracheostomy Management and Emergency Care
Please note that our training is available free of charge to education settings. Other settings such as social care, transport, or childcare are able to access our training, but this will incur a cost.
We do cap training numbers to ensure that high quality training can be provided, and that we can offer timely support to all children and young people.
