Children's Orthoptics

Orthoptist assess and diagnose disorders of vision, binocular vision (how the eyes work together as a pair) and ocular motility (eye movements). We offer treatment and management of those conditions where appropriate.

We care for children in an outpatient setting and take referrals from consultant ophthalmologists and paediatricians, GPs, health visitors and optometrists.

The service is provided by qualified orthoptist supported by visual field technicians and administative staff. We have our own rooms with suitable child-friendly equipment.

All our orthoptist are registered with the Health and Care Professions Council.
