HEE/NIHR ICA Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship (PCAF) Round 3
The HEE/NIHR ICA Pre-doctoral Clinical Academic Fellowship (PCAF) scheme supports early career researchers to become competitive applicants for a doctoral level research training fellowship.
ICA PCAFs support healthcare professionals who are not doctors or dentists. A full list of ICA eligible professions is available.
PCAF candidates may:
- have little formal academic training/ research experience or
- have completed some Masters level training or
- have completed a Masters level qualification or
- require Masters level training/ a full Masters
However, all applicants must be committed to a career as a clinical academic.
The PCAF scheme offers two distinct funding offers, which follow the same application process. You will be asked to specify which funding stream you would like to apply for.
