We have launched our Covid-19 Safety Charter

Covid-19 Safety Charter

2020 was hugely challenging. We all had to adapt to new normals in such a short space of time; from the ways we work, to how we socialise with our loved ones and interact with others outside of our homes.

It was an exceptional year for many reasons, not least due to the incredible effort all staff and patients have made in helping the Trust manage and prevent the spread of Covid-19 across our hospitals.

While 2020 may be behind us, the Covid-19 pandemic is still a reality, with cases rising rapidly across the country. We need to continue our efforts to manage and prevent the spread across our sites, our communities, within our families and our places of work.

To ensure clarity on how our staff and patients can keep safe while accessing our sites, we have launched our Covid-19 Safety Charter. We know that the actions and behaviours listed in our charter, if carried out consistently by everyone, will help us to reduce the transmission of Covid-19.

The principles of Hands, Face, Space have been so important in reducing the spread of this infection across our hospital sites and to our loved ones at home, the behaviours we echo in our charter. We hope you will work with us as we move into 2021 to ensure we do this every day, with every interaction that we have.

Everyone has done a phenomenal job of supporting the Trust in kepping our patients, staff and communities safe, we need to continue to build on this. You can view the Covid-19 Safety Charter below.

Covid-19 Safety Charter is a set of rules to follow, including; wash your hands, cover our faces, keep our distance, keep to two people in a lift, keep left in corridors, follow all one way areas and show kindness when accessing our sites
