Our planned response to COVID-19
University Hospitals of Derby and Burton (UHDB) has put in place a comprehensive plan ahead of any increase in the number of patients being admitted with COVID-19 (Coronavirus).

Temporary closure of maternity unit at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital
The midwifery-led birthing unit at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital in Lichfield will temporarily close from 5pm on Thursday 19 March to help staff at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton provide safe services to women and their babies.
