Maura Teager, Governor

I truly value the opportunity to represent my local community, I am a nurse by profession and have almost 50 years' experience in the NHS across Derbyshire and beyond including Primary Care, Acute & Community Hospitals and Mental Health.

I am passionate about getting the care right for patients and families and have a track record of challenging the status quo, scrutinising services and engaging with others to understand the critical challenges faced in maintaining patient safety and public confidence whilst continuously improving the quality of services.  My family, friends and I have experienced health care locally and whilst acknowledging some truly excellent care there are some areas that could be strengthened and improved.
