Patients from both Burton and Derby receive outpatient neurological services at Royal Derby Hospital.
Royal Derby Hospital hosts the National Parkinson Foundation International Centre for Excellence in Parkinson’s Disease as well as providing a full complement of general neurology services. Further specialised clinics in Multiple Sclerosis, Epilepsy and Botulinum toxin clinics are available.
The Neurology service consists of 5 consultant neurologists, 2 visiting neurosurgeons (NUH) and 8 specialist nurses covering Parkinson’s disease, Epilepsy, Multiple Sclerosis, Motor Neurone Disease and Headache.
The Clinical Measurement Department hosts 2 consultant neurophysiologists and this supports the neurology service with diagnostic tests and procedures.
