Making a Difference Awards 2025
On Friday 19 September 2025, UHDB held its Annual Making a Difference Awards ceremony, funded by the Dery & Burton Hospitals Charity at Hilton St George's Park, with 270 colleagues joining in an evening of recognising achievements from across the Trust.
Each year, we recognise and celebrate our people across UHDB through the annual Making a Difference Awards.
Teams and colleagues across UHDB demonstrate how they are working towards delivering Exceptional Care Together, whether directly or indirectly. This may be through improvements to quality and safety, supporting colleagues, or driving forward digital improvement, innovations or research, making positive changes across our sites, the local NHS system or even nationally.
The annual Making a Difference Awards is an opportunity to recognise an individual or team and thank them for their contributions and achievements in the past year by nominating them in one of the 10 categories.
Thank you to patients, relatives and colleagues who took the time to nominate a member of staff. This year we received over 1,600 nominations sharing how #TeamUHDB have demonstrated our Trust values of excellence, compassion and openness.
Congratulations to all those shortlisted:
