Maternity and Neonatal Voices - Share your feedback
Maternity and Neonatal Voices represent the voices of women, birthing people and their families in the development of maternity and neonatal services in Derbyshire, Staffordshire and Stoke-On-Trent.
Derbyshire Maternity and Neonatal Voices (DMNV) and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent Maternity and Neonatal Voices Partnership (MNVP) are independent NHS forums made up of volunteers, parents, midwives, health care providers and representatives from local charities and community groups, all working together to improve maternity and neonatal care.
What we do
Together we work collaboratively with UHDB, to ensure the voice of local families is always at the heart of maternity and neonatal services. DMNV work predominantly with the Royal Derby Hospital site and Staffordshire and Stoke-on-Trent MNVP, with the Queen’s Hospital Burton site.
Our goal is to ensure that the voices of women and their families are heard in the development and improvement of our local services.
What we do to achieve our goal:
- Organise engagement events and surveys to gather feedback.
- Work to establish strong relationships with local community groups and charities to ensure all voices are heard.
- Hold regular meetings that provide the opportunity to bring together the groups membership.
- Attend meetings with our local Trusts on a vast array of issues.
- Produce feedback reports.
- Work together with maternity and neonatal teams on action plans to drive improvements forward.
We work closely with the Maternity and Neonatal teams at Royal Derby Hospital and Queen’s Hospital Burton on improvement projects within a wide range of topics, from induction of labour to infant feeding, maternal mental health to care on the wards.
