If you have diabetes you will be sent a letter inviting you to make an appointment for diabetic eye screening.
People with diabetes are at risk of damage from diabetic retinopathy, one of the most common causes of sight loss in people of working age. Screening helps us to detect diabetic retinopathy before you display any noticeable changes. If detected early, treatment can stop it getting worse.
