General Surgery
The General Surgery team provide treatment and care to patients who are referred to us by their GP, health professional, or via emergency services.
Our department has specialist areas including:
- weight loss (bariatric surgery)
- Breast Care Unit surgery
- bowel surgery (colorectal)
- pancreas and bile duct surgery
- upper gastro-intestinal (GI) surgery
- blood vessels (vascular)
Services within these specialties include outpatient sessions, day case sessions, and emergency procedures at both Royal Derby Hospital and Queen’s Hospital Burton.
General surgery clinics and day case sessions are also provided at Sir Robert Peel Community Hospital in Tamworth.
Additional outpatient clinics are provided at Samuel Johnson Community Hospital in Lichfield.
