Diabetes and Endocrinology

Our Diabetes and Endocrinology teams investigate, diagnose and treat problems with the endocrine system. This is the group of glands within the body which produce hormones.

Services are provided at our main sites - Florence Nightingale Community Hospital and Queen's Hospital Burton - and we provide specialist diabetes clinics in the community to ensure patients can access services easily.

The Derby Endocrinology department is part of the regional multidisciplinary groups for thyroid cancer and for pituitary disease.

We invite you to watch these at your leisure, and participate in the exercises for each video.

If you need wellbeing support, contact the team at uhdb.youngadultdiabetes@nhs.net, or speak to your healthcare professional in clinic.
