The Department of Medicine for the Elderly offers inpatient and outpatient services to older people at Royal Derby Hospital, London Road Community Hospital and across the community.
We cater particularly for the frail elderly or those with many medical problems. We provide inpatient rehabilitation services for the elderly at the London Road Community Hospital and outreach services to local community hospitals.
We have specialist clinics for falls and Parkinson’s Disease (winners of the Hospital Doctor Parkinson’s Disease Team of the Year 2007, and a National Parkinson’s Foundation Centre of Excellence).
